Howoge Wohnungsbaugesellschaft mbH is one of six municipal housing companies in Berlin. The company was founded in 1990 and took over a large part of the prefabricated buildings in the large housing estate of Hohenschönhausen from the municipal housing administration of the GDR. Howoge currently manages more than 80,000 flats in Berlin.

REELAB was commissioned by Howoge to carry out an inventory of six apartment buildings in Berlin-Neu-Hohenschönhausen.

The scope of the contract was to prepare an investment cost estimate for a complete renovation. In addition, a profitability analysis for the renovation of the existing buildings was prepared in comparison to the construction of a new residential complex in accordance with valuation guidelines.
