The Hotel Elephant Weimar is one of the best-known and most traditional hotels in Germany. Its origins date back to the 17th century. Located directly on Weimar’s historic market square, the hotel has been a centre of attraction for world-famous Weimar personalities from the worlds of literature and music throughout its history. Later, the Bauhaus icons Walter Gropius and Johannes Itten also stayed at the hotel for a time.

Today’s hotel was originally built in 1937 and was completely renovated in 2018 in keeping with its listed status. The Hirmer Group has owned the hotel since 2017. It is operated by the arcona Group.

On behalf of the operator, REELAB is currently carrying out a comprehensive inventory of the building and an investment cost calculation of the necessary modernisation measures. The contract also includes the technical inspection of compliance with tenant and landlord obligations.
